The Missouri Eastern Correctional Center (MECC) is a medium custody (C-3) facility located approximately 1 mile east of Pacific. The facility opened in August of 1981 and has a capacity for 1,100 male offenders.
MECC offers the Incarcerated Work Release Program and, in a joint effort between the Missouri Department of Corrections and the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), allows offenders who are nearing their release date valuable job training while also allowing MoDOT to accomplish tasks that otherwise may not be completed.
