The Division of Human Services consists of Human Resource Management, Training and Employee Development, Employee Health/Wellness/Safety, Religious/Spiritual Services, Volunteer/Intern Programs, Budget/Research and Evaluation, Planning, Fiscal Management, and General Services.This division provides support to the Division of Adult Institutions, Division of Offender Rehabilitative Services and the Division of Probation & Parole. A professionally trained work force, where safety and wellness is practiced as a part of the job is essential to carrying out the vision, mission, values and professional principals of the department. The Division of Human Services is tasked with recruiting a diverse professional work force, maintaining that qualified work force, improving the work environment of employees and communication between management and staff. Oversight of the budget process, strategic planning and fiscal management is essential to support the operation of the department. In addition the division has oversight of the institutional food operations, major new construction and maintenance projects, the management of the vehicle fleet, and central office business office and warehouse functions.
