The Interstate Compact for the Supervision of Parolees and Probationers allows the cooperation between states by recognizing the legitimate needs of offenders meeting eligibility criteria to transfer supervision from one state to another state. This allows the offender an opportunity to improve their chances for successful completion of supervision.
Eligibility Criteria for transfer of supervision: (1) the offender is a resident of or (2) has family residing within the state that he/she is requesting to transfer to and can obtain employment or a visible means of support.
